Software Bisque, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Stephen M. Bisque. At that time,
Stephen was developing and marketing custom financial software and also sold a
DOS-based planetarium program, named "The_Sky" as a hobby.
In 1990, Steve hired his three brothers Thomas, Daniel and Matthew and they
ported TheSky for DOS to the Windows operating system. In 1992, TheSky
Version 1.0 for Windows was released.
Software Bisque has since developed other products for the astronomy
community. We now have 10 employees and two facilities; one that houses
our software development staff and a second production facility for our hardware
products.
Our Paramount ME Robotic Telescope System, used in conjunction with the
world's leading astronomy software suite of TheSky, CCDSoft, TPoint for Windows,
and Orchestrate, gives astronomers tools for data astronomical acquisition,
research and discovery. In fact, amateurs have discovered over 500 new
objects using this system.
"Team Bisque's" work is featured in the PBS documentary "Seeing in the
Dark" by Timothy Ferris.
Thanks for your continued support.
