Howard Brewington - Comet Hunter

Phase 1

Since 1998, Software Bisque has been working with Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) developing the "Raven" telescope system.  The Raven system consists of Software Bisque's Paramount GT-1100, and Software Bisque's Observatory Control Software Suite. This system is used nightly to acquire data used to update the position of satellites.

Phase 2

The Raven system in Maui is a contributing sensor in the Space Surveillance Network (SSN) and is part of the global Space Surveillance/Missile Warning system.

Phase 3

In a nutshell the Raven system was developed at RME Kihei, Maui, then  demonstrated at Edwards AFB, then constructed on Haleakala, Maui as a SSN Contributing sensor. The sensor is the "prime" metric sensor for Maui Space Surveillance System (MSSS). The data is collected nightly and submitted to Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs (CMOC) for Space Surveillance and Missile Warning.
