    Remote Telescope Setup

I am going to set up a telescope at some distance from my computer (150') and USB, SCSI and serial cable runs over this distance are not an option.  It would seem that a tablet PC at the telescope networked to the main computer would be the viable solution (either wireless or wired, not sure).  Is Internet Astronomy Software™ Client and Server Application an appropriate solution for this arrangement?  What are the benefits & pitfalls of this setup.  I am contemplating the Bisque Observatory Software Suite (BOSS) at this time.  Would I need to purchase separate software licenses for each computer?  Are there knowledge base articles I should look at?  I don't seem to know enough to know where to look if there are.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mark Ewart

You'll most likely want complete, unrestricted control of the remote machine. That's not what IAS allows. Use a Remote Desktop (XP Pro) or UltraVNC, or radmin to access the remote machine instead.
