This is accomplished with the mouse by pressing CONTROL+Click on the coordinates of the new object, or by manually entering parameters for user-defined data in the User-Defined Data dialog box.
Click File | Save to save your user-defined data. Each Sky Document can accommodate up to two hundred user-defined data points. Typically, the User Defined Data command is used to add a relatively small number of new objects in areas of interest or to quickly add labels for a customized star chart.
Adding User-Defined Data to the Virtual Sky (CONTROL+Click)
User-defined data points can be added by pressing and holding the CONTROL key while clicking the right mouse button at the desired position on the Virtual Sky. The new object, line or label will automatically appear on the Virtual Sky.
Use the Delete Entry button to remove the selected user-defined data.
If the Snap To option has been set to Nearest Star or Nearest Non-stellar, you must click near one of these objects to add a point. The Object Type of entries added from the Virtual Sky using the cursor is determined by the last entry in the user data list.
Important Note: The default Object Type is determined by the last object in the user-data list.
Entering Coordinates from the User-Defined Data Dialog Box
