Sky Database Manager dialog box (Data menu | Sky Database Manager)

The following options allow you to add databases (called Sky Databases or "SDBs"). SDBs can be created from any text file that contains information on celestial objects and are used to augment the core catalogs that are provided with TheSky.

File List

Displays a list of the SDBs that are currently loaded. Note: The names of the core SDBs do not appear in this list. Only SDBs that have been added manually are displayed.

Add

Click this button to add selected files to the File List. SDBs that are displayed in the File List are loaded each time TheSky is started.

Note: You must click the Add button to add selected SDBs to the File List. Selecting a SDB and clicking OK does not add any SDBs to the File List.

Remove

Select Remove to remove highlighted files from the File List. If no files are selected, all SDBs are removed from the list.
