TheSky6 Help |
Use this command to specify which types of objects, such as stars or planets, will be labeled on the Virtual Sky. You’re probably already familiar with names of many common objects, such as Sirius, or Polaris (the North Star), the Moon or Jupiter.
Extended Labeling allows you to label objects’ by catalog number or other catalog-specific information. Polaris, for example, can also be labeled with its not-so-common Guide Star Catalog number, GSC 4628:237.
Click the Common Name Labels tab to select which objects to label with their common names.
See Extended Labels for details about setting up and displaying detailed object labels in TheSky6.
