TheSky6 Help |

TheSky6 Serious Astronomer Edition, Professional Edition and Pocket Edition can control a wide range of go to, robotic and software-guided telescopes. This site attempts to address many of the common, and not-so-common issues encountered when controlling telescopes with TheSky.
|
|
NEVER attempt to observe the Sun through your telescope! Without a specially designed solar filter, viewing the Sun – for even a fraction of a second – will cause instant, irreversible eye damage. When observing during the day, do not point the telescope near the Sun. Do not use TheSky6’s automatic slew feature to find objects during the day.
Children should never use a telescope during the daytime without strict adult supervision.

There are three categories of computer-aided telescopes addressed in the help file: Go To telescopes, Robotic Telescope Mounts and Software-Guided Telescopes.
Please read the Software Bisque disclaimer of warranty before continuing.
Using TheSky6's Telescope Simulator
If you are new to controlling telescopes with TheSky6, try using TheSky6's Telescope Simulator first. It can be used anytime, day or night, to simulate the control of a telescope with TheSky6.
This site contains detailed setup instructions for many different model telescopes. Use the Contents window, or the Search tab to locate instructions for your telescope.
