TheSky6 Help |
A Field of View Indicator (or FOVI for short) is a screen element that represents the field of view of an eyepiece, CCD sensor, camera body, Telrad™ finder or multiple optical system. As you zoom the display, this FOVI shrinks or expands in proportion to the field of view.
TheSky6 incorporates an “equipment-centric” method for setting up and defining your Field of View Indicators. You specify your telescopes, eyepieces, CCD, video or traditional film cameras, and TheSky can automatically generate the FOVIs for any or all combinations. TheSky6 also allows you to define custom FOVIs with up to 20 separate components.

|
FOVIs are displayed at fields of view of less than 100 degrees. If the current field of view is greater than 100 degrees, you must zoom in to see them. |
