The Astronomy Command Language (ACL) is a standard serial command protocol developed by Meridian Controls to control astronomical devices. Several telescope and astronomical dome control system manufactures, including Meridian Controls and DFM Engineering employ this standard protocol.
To Establish a Link
From TheSky, click Telescope | Setup and then select ACL Protocol from the list of control systems and then click OK.
Click Telescope | Link | Establish to establish communications with the device.
A cross hair appears on the Virtual Sky showing the current position of the telescope.
