I am a very new TSX Pro user (Macintosh) and am considering the camera add on. My question concerns support for the MicroTouch Autofocuser.

I assume that the camera add on for the Mac provides basic control over manual focusing through this device, but what about the automatic focusing process of the sort that is accomplished by FocusMax (which runs only under Windows)? Would one need to run TSX Pro under Windows, along with FocusMax, to obtain this functionality?

Thank you

Correct.  See: http://www.bisque.com/help/theskyx%20pro%20info/Welcome.htm#t=Camera_Add_On.htm%23Focusersbc-10&rhtocid=1.4.1.1.1.4 for details.

Consider @Focus (pronounced "At Focus") for automated focus on Mac or Windows: http://www.bisque.com/help/TheSkyXSAEAndPro/index.htm#t=Focusing_Principles.htm%23Using_Focus2bc-1&rhtocid=19.2.0_1.
