My name is Joe Wheelock and I work at the McDonald Observatory near Ft. Davis TX. We have a paramount that is around 15 years old or so and the power switch is broken. We can still use the mount by just unplugging or plugging it in with the connector below the switch. Is this switch easy to replace?
Do you know if it is a Paramount GT-1100S, or a Paramount ME? The former has the power switch located on the east side (in northern hemisphere) of the RA housing, the latter has it on the equator-facing side of the RA housing.

This leads me to think it is probably the Paramount ME. In this case, which MKS series is the Telescope Control System (TCS)? See our Bisque TCS Identification document to help identify this.
