Software Bisque Support Corner

I purchased a Celestron 6" scope and 'The Sky Version 5' software came with it.   I tried to load the software but it says it's not compatible with a 64 bit system.   I am running a AMD 64 dual core processor with Vista Pro.
Is there a 64 bit version of the  software?   I also use a Mac and would ask the same question ... is there a version for the Mac?

• TheSkyX Student Edition for Mac is also available.

so what you are saying is version 5 is not vista compatible.. Im taking a class that uses version 5... why would I Pay AGAIN for another version, I think the company should correct this..

TheSky 5's installer (circa 1999) is not compatible with Vista the 64-bit Vista OS.

• If you purchased a telescope, the software was provided free (from SB's perspective, sorry).
• If you want a modern version of TheSky that supports Vista 64 and or the Mac, TheSkyX is the only option.

it actually came with my text book for an astronomy class, unfortunately the department in charge of the book says "too bad" looks like im forking out some cash now for the newest version, oh well.. it looks great, a big difference in features between v5se and X..
