LAUCHING APPLICATION RESULTS IN ERROR MESSAGE

ISSUE

Launching a Software Bisque application results in the error message:

"Linked to missing export ACCUGNT5.DLL:"

Clicking OK results in a second error message:

"C:\Program Files\Software Bisque\\.exe A device attached to the system is not functioning."

RESOLUTION

There is an outdated version of the dynamic-link library named ACCUGNT5.DLL in the system folder of the computer.Move the file ACCUGNT5.DLL from c:\Program Files\Common Files\System folder to the C:\Windows\System folder (replace the outdated version with the newer version that is distributed by Software Bisque's applications).

Note: Make sure that System files (.DLLs) are displayed shown by Windows
Explorer (DLL files are hidden by default).

More Information

A third-party application has incorrectly installed ACCUGNT5.DLL into the Windows System folder. Following Microsoft's software installation guidelines, it should be installed to the "program files" folder (the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System" folder).
