Hi,

I have a query about upgrading The Sky6. I posted it in the Sky6 forum but wasn't too sure if this was the right place. I'd appreciate knowing the answer as I need to get The Sky and T-point!

Regards

TheSkyX Professional Edition has not been released.  Once it has been, TheSky6 Pro owners will be eligible to upgrade to TheSkyX Pro, as well as the TPoint Add On.

The school observatory that I run has a beautiful Paramount ME and the full SB suite: TheSky6, CCDSoft5, et al.

Is it true that I'll need TheSkyX Pro (and not Serious) to control the Paramount?

Also, is there more information about the new Image Link capabilities compared to TheSky6?

Finally, I've had issues using the FOVI overlays with a piggybacked scope and camera (Tak FSQ106 piggybacked on a C14 on the Paramount). Have there been any changes made to the FOVI creator in TheSkyX?

Thanks.

TheSkyX Professional Edition is required to control the Paramount ME.

Is there a specific feature you are looking for?

In short, TheSkyX Pro, using the latest astronomical databases, can now directly open any FITS image and perform astrometric solutions (and more reliable Image Links) at very wide and narrow fields of view.

Wonderful, sounds good. I'll order it when it is released. Thanks for your reply.
