The Moon appears to pass by Jupiter again this month, with the closest approach before
sunrise on October 4th for North American viewers...

...and on the evening of October 6th, Saturn will rise just above the one-day-past-full
Moon.

The October Draconid Meteor Shower peaks October 8th-9th. While normally a very
minor shower, there's a chance that this year's display will be more active than usual, as
the Earth is relatively close to the shower's parent comet, Giacobini-Zinner.
