Scheduled air date: 2000 Mar 27-Apr 02

For the past few months, the planets Mars, Jupiter and Saturn have been appearing to
close-in on each other. This will culminate over the evenings of April 11-16 in a
beautiful trio (inset).
(Positions shown at one-week intervals, about an hour after sunset for mid-Northern
latitudes.)

On the evening of April 6th, a thin Crescent Moon will appear next to Mars, Jupiter and
Saturn, forming a beautiful twilight grouping that will be spectacular in a pair of
binoculars!
(Shown during evening twilight for mid-Northern latitudes.)
