In the pre-dawn skies of August 5th and 6th, the bright planets Jupiter and Venus will be only slightly more than one degree apart!
(Shown about an hour before sunrise for mid-Northern latitudes.)


The Waning Crescent Moon will appear first near the planet Saturn on the mornings of August 13th and 14th, then close to the giant planet Jupiter on the 15th, and finally within about one degree of the brilliant planet Venus on the 16th!
