Scheduled air date: 2002 Feb 18-24

This week's Full Moon—the closest to Earth of the year—as well as next
month's, will be about 30000 miles/49000 km closer than the Full Moon of
October—the farthest of the year. Because they are so much closer, these
Full Moons will appear both larger...

...and about 30% brighter than the Full Moon of October!
(Shown for mid-Northern latitudes around midnight on the night of February
26th-27th.)
