Five planets in our solar system are currently closing in on a gathering which
will be at its best in May. Meanwhile, we can watch the Waxing Crescent
Moon pass by each of four of these planets—Venus, Mars, Saturn then
Jupiter—in the evening skies next week. The fifth planet in this
gathering, Mercury, will soon be appearing over the horizon at dusk as well.
(Shown about an hour after sunset for mid-Northern latitudes.)
