On the night of February 5th, the one-day-past-First Quarter Moon appears between the red planet Mars and the Pleiades star cluster.
(Inset shows binocular view of the Pleiades star cluster.)


The next night, February 6th, the Waxing Gibbous Moon is located about 10 degrees north of Mars' rival star, Aldebaran.
(Shown about one hour after sunset on February 5th and 6th for mid-Northern latitudes.)
