In the pre-dawn sky, the brilliant planet Venus is making its way toward an
encounter next week with the faint but giant planet Uranus—originally named
"George."
(Shown about an hour before sunrise on the mornings of April 17th through 19th for mid-northern latitudes.)

This binocular view shows the positions of Venus and Uranus on the mornings of
the 17th, 18th and 19th relative to the background stars.
