"How to Watch This Weekend's Perseid Meteor Shower Which is Usually the Best of the Year"

Scheduled air date: 2006 Aug 07-13

The Perseid Meteor Shower will be best seen in the hours between midnight and twilight on the morning of August 13th. All of the meteors associated with this shower will appear to originate from the direction of the radiant (marked with the red '+' symbol), in the constellation Perseus. Light from the four-days-past-full Moon will make it difficult to see some of the fainter meteors, however it could still be a great shower!
(Shown around 3:00 AM for mid-Northern latitudes.)
