Mount Wilson
Horizon for TheSky6

Standing on top of the 100 inch dome (literally) located at the Mount Wilson Observatory just outside of Pasadena California Sean O'Casey Hoss created the panorama to be used with TheSky6.  This awesome set of digital images was pieced together into a large mosaic showing a 360 degree view from on top of 100 inch dome!  An on-line real time version by using a QuickTime plug-in can be seen here,

NOTE: Rarely will you find a perfectly clear day with absolutely perfect conditions like this!  The Alpha Channel TIF made from the original JPEG image was created by me.  For anyone that wants to do better let me know!  I literally spent countless hours editing the mask (Alpha Channel) using PhotoShop CS to come up with what I feel is an awesome realistic horizon to be used with TheSky6.

Download the Horizon file for TheSky6 2 megabytes.
