The Observatory WAS part of the Telescopes In Education project (T.I.E.). The telescope mount (Paramount GT-1100S) and the CCD camera Apogee AP-7 were controlled over the Internet by students around the world for years.

 

The roll-off building and telescope are completely automated. The software that allows remote control of the observatory is the Astronomy Software by Internet Software Bisque. The telescope is controlled by TheSky and the camera is controlled by CCDSoft.
