
Satellite crossing Sombrero Galaxy
(imaged from Las Campans, Chile)
The above image was taken remotely from the Las
Campanas Observatory on July 17th 2003 00:07:27.589 Universal Time using the
telescope provided by Telescopes In
Education. The camera is the Apogee AP-7 Site detector with 512 by 512
pixels, Celestron C-14 OTA reduced to f/7.2, mounted on the Paramount
GT-1100S. The RAW fits data can be FTP'd from the following link.

If anyone is able to correctly identify this satellite for me it
would be greatly appreciated. My attempts to do so have failed so
far! There is a free copy of either TheSky or CCDSoft version 5 for anyone
that successfully identifies it.
