The nice characture type drawings are not enabled by default.  These high resolution TIFF images are somewhat large.  Therefore on slower computers they will take a considerable amount of time to plot.  Also note that by default there is an option to only plot those that are in the center of the screen to minimize plotting time.  See below.  You can also turn on the ones you like and leave those you don't off.  See below.

The constellation drawings are enabled using the View | Real Mode Options.  They must first be enabled here by checking the "Constellation Drawings".

Click Manual to adjust the color settings

If you want all constellations to show not just the ones near the center of the screen de-select the option to plot those "Only near screen center".

WARNING:  Enabling the plotting of all high resolution constellation drawings will take more time to plot and is not recommended on slower systems!

De-Select Only near screen center here

Use the Display Explorer to toggle the constellations you want.

View | Display Explorer

Enable only the constellations you want

Or, you can RIGHT+LEFT Mouse Click on the constellation in TheSky Display to toggle them on/off.
