Back in May 2014, Lisa Judd of the ASTROCON Vendor Committee sent us an email about the ASTROCON 2017 Conference and the Great American Eclipse the following day.
I remember thinking, “Why start planning now for an event three years from now? I have a hard-enough time making plans for next week!”
Fortunately, despite my myopia about the astronomical event of the century, I forwarded the email, and our staff seized on the early heads up by registering as a Vendor for the conference, reserving multiple nearby hotel rooms, and getting the ball rolling ahead of the solar prominence-like interest in the conference and eclipse. (Booking a hotel anywhere in Wyoming right now is like winning the lottery.) Software Bisque will be closing up shop between August 16 and August 21 to be at ASTRCON, and then witness the Great American Eclipse on Monday August 21, 2017. We’re especially excited as this is the first total eclipse for most of our staff and family.
Please stop by our booth at the Parkway Plaza Hotel and Convention Center to say hello and check out all things Software Bisque. It’s always nice to meet face to face with our wonderful customers, and we’ll have some goodie bags for the kids and unique offerings for adults (while supplies last).
If we’re not manning the booth, we’ll be out enjoying the local ambiance, so drop on by early and often.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
- Here’s a fun video of the eclipse generated by Seeker .
- Check out the Great American Eclipse web page for lots more information!
As if the eclipse is not enough, Software Bisque will be hosting a post-eclipse Open House on Tuesday August 22, 2017 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at our office in Golden, Colorado. If you’re headed home after the eclipse, and have a few hours to kill, please stop by and visit.
