Welcome to TheSky Lite for Imaging (LTI). TheSky LTI, powered by TheSky Astronomy Software, creates an easy to use, task-based user interface to create a powerful and intuitive imaging system for backyard and portable imagers.
TheSky LTI is designed for an optimal user experience and is based on decades of imaging, both within Software Bisque and from customer feedback. Controlling your telescopes mount, camera/filter wheel, and focuser, TheSky LTI is the maestro conducting the orchestra of your hardware with the sole purpose of helping you get the best data possible, as easily as possible.
The design paradigm for TheSky LTI is embedded imaging. The term embedded computing describes a world where devices perform tasks, and a dedicated computer underneath manages everything. LTI runs full screen on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone and is optimized for small screens with a minimum size of 1024x768.
This makes TheSky LTI ideal for small appliance-type computers that can be dedicated to imaging and the interface is well-suited for remote use on a tablet or smartphone screen. For example, if you are running LTI from Software Bisque’s TheSky Fusion, turning the device on launches TheSky LTI. The consistent LTI interface is available to users of Windows, macOS, or even Linux based off-the-shelf computers.
Remember, TheSky LTI is not for everyone. If you prefer to have multiple windows and status displays, or want to multi-task while imaging, then use TheSky Pro’s device control. Remember the metaphor for LTI is there is no “computer”; you are effectively interacting with an “imaging appliance.”
