CCDSOFT UNABLE TO LINK TO ST-7, ST-8

    ISSUE

CCDSoft is unable to establish a link with an ST-7 or ST-8.

Another application (CCDOPS, SkyPro and even an earlier version of CCDSoft) may have no trouble communicating with the camera.

    RESOLUTION

    1. See if the LPT base address in CCDSoft’s advanced settings matches the base address under control panel for the same LPT port.
    2. A very few, very early versions of CCDSoft shipped without ST732.DLL, SBIG32M.DLL and SBIG32.VXD as these driver files did not exist. These files are not distributed with the web update, but are needed once a web update is installed. A user might have had success with v4.00.000, but not since updating to a newer version (e.g. from our web site). The best thing to do is to send these customers a new set of CCDSoft disks, as they have the driver files.
