      Software Bisque Knowledge Base Article – 123

      CANNOT ESTABLISH LINK WITH LX-200

      ISSUE

      When a link with the LX-200 is attempted, the message “Error-memory error” appears.

      RESOLUTION

      In this case, the user was running WIndows 3.1x and had a third party comm driver installed (WFXCOM.DRV). Putting back the standard Windows comm driver (COMM.DRV) fixed the problem.
      The driver is found in the SYSTEM.INI file under the (BOOT) section in the “comm.drv=” entry.
