CANNOT RUN REALSKYVIEW AND THESKY SIMULTANEOUSLY

      ISSUE

When the user attempts to run TheSky and RealSkyView at the same time (either manually by clicking the icon’s of each application or via OLE by creating a DSS image in TheSky) one cannot be launched.

If RealSkyView is launched by clicking its icon when TheSky is running, a DOS error occurs. If RealSkyView is launched via OLE, the message “Unable to connect to CCDSoft or RealSkyView” appears.

      RESOLUTION

If TheSky and RealSkyView (or CCDSoft) cannot be run simultaneously under Windows 3.1x, there is not enough free memory available. Make sure DOS has at least 560K conventional memory free and also make sure that a RAM disk is not enabled, which might be consuming conventional RAM.
