REALSKY “V” CD-ROM IS UNRECOGNIZED BY DRIVE
ISSUE
After inserting the RealSky “V” CD-ROM, the drive cannot recognize it – it may spin endlessly, try to play it as an audio CD, or eject it altogether.
RESOLUTION
This is probably a CD-ROM from the second run, which was formatted improperly. Some (older) CD-ROM drivers don’t recognize the format, and may assume it is an audio CD. The incorrect CD-ROM has “15516 2 6 REALSKYVIEW ADCA” etched into the disk’s hub (visible from the data side).
Contact the Astronomical Society of the Pacific for a new “V” CD-ROM.
