THESKY CAN’T LINK WITH COORDINATE 3 SYSTEM

ISSUE

TheSky (v4.00.105) cannot successfully establish a link with the new Quadrant Engineering Coordinate 3 system.

RESOLUTION

With the introduction of the Coordinate 3 model, Quadrant Engineering apparently introduced a “hiccup” (brief pause) during the transmission of data to a host computer. TheSky, not expecting this new behaviour, does not correctly receive the complete data.

1998 Apr 22 – Quadrant Engineering has indicated that they will send updated ROMs to their customers, which will eliminate the problem.
