NON-ENGLISH BUTTON TITLES IN STANDARD DIALOGS

    ISSUE

Standard dialogs, such as Open, Save, Print Preview, etc., have non-English (e.g. French) button titles.

    RESOLUTION

The language used for Windows 95/98/NT standard dialogs is determined by the version of MFC40.DLL or MFC42.DLL installed in the Windows system folder (e.g. C:/Windows/System).

You can check the language property of this file by viewing its properties. Under Windows Explorer, navigate to the file’s location, then right-click on the file name and select “Properties,” or use the File, Properties menu command. Select the Properties dialog’s Version tab sheet, then choose Language from the Item Name list.

Obtain the English-language edition of this Microsoft file.
